Europe Caribbean Line (ECL) is a shipping line founded in 1981. ECL offers a unique liner service between North and West Europe, the Caribbean and the North-coast of South America.

This service is operated with multi-purpose breakbulk vessels. All ships are fully equiped with lifting gear with a (combined) lifting capacity upto 75 mtons. ECL offers monthly sailings with fixed calls at the following ports:

• Rotterdam, the Netherlands
• Antwerp, Belgium
• Ipswich, United Kingdom
• Gijon, Spain
• Georgetown, Guyana
• Paramaribo, Suriname
• Point Lisas, Trinidad
• Matanzas (Palua), Venezuela

Other ports within the same regions are served upon sufficient inducement. The commodities which are shipped in this service include:

Steelcargoes
General breakbulk cargoes (pallets, crates, cases etc.)
Project cargoes including heavy lifts
Excavators, trucks, trailers, cranes and other rolling stock
